About
Countdowns with a clear source of time
whenis.live is a tool for creating, sharing, and embedding countdowns to a specific moment, with optional accounts for sign-in and cross-device management. Each timer stores one absolute instant and its named timezone so every visitor counts down to the same event.
Date and timezone accuracy
Creators choose the event date, local time, and IANA timezone. The service converts that wall-clock time to UTC for storage and keeps the original timezone visible. Event organizers remain the authoritative source when a schedule changes.
Editorial and discovery policy
Category hubs and practical guides are maintained by whenis.live. User-created countdowns appear in search and discovery only when they are explicitly searchable and have substantial event context. Personal, unlisted, and thin pages are excluded from the sitemap.
Corrections and ownership
Countdown creators can correct their event through its private management link. For site or editorial questions, use the contact option in the footer. Public event pages link to organizer or official sources when the creator supplies them.
